Looe Island Hannafore Rock & Hannafore Beach

Hannafore

While staying at Seaview Holiday Village, Polperro, I made a few journeys out of site and heading towards Looe in the direction from Polperro, but just before Looe Bridge, is a sharp turning on the right that winds narrowly for about 1 mile and you arrive at a place called Hannafore (West Looe). This has a long promenade with a snack kiosk in the middle, also just adjacent along the road is a small but well equipped Café; that serves clean snacks. There is free parking all along this promenade and is only a very short slope down to the sea. There is coarse sand and many lumps of melted slate and boulders of granite that stretch out in the distance. It would appear that this area is very shallow water. A very picturesque small Island called Looe Island. You can just make out a couple of buildings on there and makes a perfect completion to the camera set.

Walking down the slope takes you to Lavatories and a good breaker from the crosswinds that you may encounter.

Having returned to this setting a couple of times, it would seem a tranquil and ideal place to return.
