Felpham, Sussex

Just about a mile east of Bognor Regis, is a quiet village called Felpham. Surrounding an adequate main street with the usual essential shops, are tiny back streets with bungalows neatly spaced out and leading to the seafront where there is a restaurant and yacht club. Principally protected by shingle beach, it doesn't take much tide to go out before discovering the vast sandy stretch out to catch the ebb.

For many years I and my family have returned to this spot, if not just for the restaurant via parking in several choices of free or cheap parking or even a gentle stroll along the prom from Bognor, this area is always a sun trap, although can be bracing at times, it is just a pleasant place to go and sit and watch the sea vessels in the distance, the tide rippling back and forth or just watching people pass by, the sea air is revitalising and I have always left felling lifted. (and that takes some doing)

Adjacent is a bowling green that always seems to be active... a very popular yet tranquil place to spend some time, again and again.
